Lol just remembered that Ilkka said during that Alan Wake halloween stream from a few years ago that Alan's favorite music style would probably be jazz bc it reminds him of his mother or something. And you do hear bits of jazz during the musical and the talk show opening sequences. But since Mr Door's house band are the Old Gods of Asgard, a jazz musical wouldn't be an option and I can literally hear Tor screaming "What? JAZZ? Fuck that! We're gonna make this thing METAL!!"

oooh that's a headcanon I might steal for mysef too- really like the unexpected music taste based on his overall demeanor :D

I think the team would be pretty surprised, but some of them would get interested and dip in too, like shinsuke and hayami probably? but learning he can play would be pretty impressive to everyone!

Was listening to old Nightwish again recently and it just kinda hit me how absurd the level of speculation about coworker drama gets when you're in the public eye. You don't get this level of overthinking conspiracy and finger-pointing when talking about your buddy that works at WalMart

I just want to put out there that I absolutely love that there are successful metal and rock artists that are female and 40+, still making music they love and still sounding f*cking amazing. That means so much as someone who grew up looking up to these women, as a teenager who didn't know my place in the world, felt like an oddball all the time, and just knew I admired a lot of women who didn't ascribe to the more girly softer super feminine stereotype most girls are held to (when I was growing up anyway)

And these singers like Amy Lee, Floor Jansen, Anette Olzon, and Tarja Tarunen, I'm just so happy they're still making music and rocking out. Age doesn't change true talent and that's just reassuring and uplifting to see.
